Taiwan Frogcast
is a Taiwan-centered media project by a registered non-profit, Frogcast Society. Our mission is to serve as a trusted gateway for the world to understand Taiwan by producing verifiable, citable, and shareable content. We help global audiences navigate Taiwan's realities, values, and threats, while strengthening public literacy against information manipulation and cognitive warfare.
Why a Frog?
Frogs are indicator species for ecosystem health. Taiwan's democratic survival and semiconductor supply-chain stability serve as critical indicators of global freedom and technological health. Our brand character, KAPA (Taiwanese for "frog"), is an approachable animated host who guides audiences through complex issues. The approach is simple: lower the barrier with charm, build authority with evidence. Core message: "When Taiwan thrives, the world benefits."
The Problem We Solve
When international audiences search for Taiwan-related topics, what they find is rarely a story told by the Taiwanese themselves. Instead, they encounter Beijing's framing ("Taiwan is part of China"), oversimplified Western media retellings ("cross-strait tensions"), or fragmented social-media posts. Taiwan's voice is not absent—it lacks a structured, search-engine-indexed, citeable foreign-language content system. This narrative vacuum is Beijing's greatest propaganda dividend: it doesn't need to convince anyone; it only needs to fill the space before Taiwan speaks. Taiwan Frogcast exists to fill that space.
Our Stance
We never soften the position, but we never substitute emotion for evidence. Every claim must be citable, traceable, and re-tellable to audiences across the political spectrum. We hold that Taiwan is a de facto sovereign and independent country, pursuing full de jure nationhood. On this path, preserving a free and democratic way of life is the highest priority.
Our Tone
Draw people in with charm, keep them with substance, and make them share with warmth. Our content is cute but not childish, professional but not cold, firm but never hostile.
